Donita McCormick – Vestry Member, Christian Education & & Membership Development

Born and raised in Houston, Texas.  Attended James Madison High School and S.P. Waltrip High School.  Attended Houston Community and University of Houston.  Worked in petrochemical industries, Fluor and C.E. Lummus.  Moved to Rockport, Texas where I began my work in the Wellness and Fitness industry about 1995.  During 1997 I went to Flight Attendant school with Delta Airlines.

I was confirmed in St. Peter's Episcopal Church in 1998.  In 1999 the oil business moved me to Albuquerque, New Mexico.  In Albuquerque I visited St. Mary's and became a member.  I became involved in the St. Elizabeth Guild as secretary, and I was also elected to the vestry.  The oil business involved another transfer to Casper, Wyoming in 2003.  I returned to Albuquerque in 2006 and I resumed with St. Mary's as a member, and as of 2007, vestry member.

Presently I work in health care in an assisted living and rehabilitation facility.  I also work at Defined Fitness in the Aqua Fitness program.
